September 6, homecoming day!

WE'RE HOME!! Rooming in went pretty well. We stayed in the same room where we were when Will coded, which was a bit strange. We started Tuesday about noon. He was a little gassy and fussy last night, mostly from his vaccinations but not too bad. We got discharged today about noon, picked up Chinese take-out on the way home and got home a couple hours ago. Will broke in his new car seat by spitting up in it about 20 seconds after being buckled in by the nurse (in all fairness, she was tilting it around adjusting it when he spit up). It felt incredibly strange taking him out of the hospital, like I was stealing him and someone would stop us at any moment. It's a huge relief for all of us to be home but we're exhausted so that's it for today's update. We have our first appointment with what will be his primary doctor tomorrow morning, a bunch of follow up appointments with the eye doctor for his ROP, physical therapist and a bunch of others. He's on about 6 different types of medication and supplements so it's complicated and I have to figure out how to schedule his feeding with my pumping, giving his meds and mixing everything. Complicated. Very happy to be home though!
