Will is still doing wonderfully! He got moved up to a less-needy bed, it looks kind of like a giant plastic breadbox and opens the same way instead of having a liftable top and little doors. He gained a bit more weight and was given another chance on the canula instead of CPAP. I got to do some Kangaroo Care again and he was much happier on the canula then, the CPAP moving irritated him so he wouldn't settle down last time I tried. This time he snuggled right in again and was a happy baby. He licked me too, itwas pretty funny. His feedings are still being increased, he's up to almost 2 CC per feed now.
I'm going in for surgery the 27th. I have to be there at 9 for surgery at noon. They decided since I'd had 3 gallstone attacks in 2 days to take mygallbladder out quickly because it can cause life-threatening complications when it's accelerating at that speed. I had another major attack last night, probably worse than the others I've had that lasted for hours and I'm still hurting pretty bad this morning though it's tollerable now. At this point I'm much more scared of another attack like that than I am of the surgery even if they end up having to do a traditional incision. It should be laprascopic (spelling?) meaning done using a camera through 4 small incisions and I'd get to go home probably the same day, but if they get in there and discover it's advanced to any complications they may have to do about a 7 inch vertical incision below my ribs and that'll take a longer recovery (obviously). I'm not worried in any case, I just want this DONE. I spent about 3 hours last night feeling like someone ran 2 swords clean through the bottoms of my ribs in one side and out the other with every breath, like someone had stomped on me until the center of my ribs was stapled to my spine and poured acid into the right side. It's a level of pain I can't deal with, for the worst of it all I could do was lay there, gasp for breath and cry even on Vicodin. I can deal with NOT EVER having that happen again! Especially with how much I'm already dealing with right now.
