Will had another great day today! He's up to 3 lb 4 oz! He's doing so well on feeding that they're going to increase how much & often he gets it too. He was wearing a preemie onesie today and it was HUGE on him but still adorable. I got to do a little Kangaroo Care but he was cranky, every time he moves the prongs of his CPAP machine move in and out of his nose which irritates him a lot. It took about 40 minutes for him to settle down and by that time I needed to go pump so had to put him back in his isolette anyway. Oh well, maybe we'll have better luck next time.
We didn't get a very long visit, Justin took the day off to help me get to the doctors since I had to leave my car at the hospital last night after having a major gallstone attack at the NICU and spending the evening in the ER. We had to leave it there again today, I had another minor attack while we were there and had to take Vicodin so couldn't drive, again. I saw my doctor today, who referred me to a surgeon. I have a consultation in the morning and hopefully will be going in to get my gallbladder removed quickly. That doctor is leaving soon and won't be back until August 7 so I may get scheduled with someone else in the same practice or I may have to wait. In the meantime I've stocked up on very low-fat soups, produce and Lean Cuisine dinners since it's been WAY too hot for me to cook anything healthy (requires turning on the oven, ugh). I'm on a fat-restricted diet for the gallbladder problems until it gets resolved, so the sooner the better! And of course as soon as they told me that I started craving pizza, which I haven't been able to eat since I was about 5 weeks pregnant and first got sick, hmph.
