Still doing very well. Monday (the 25th) was my due date, so Will is officially considered a newborn now! Will had an appointment with the opthamologist Friday, who said his ROP is completely resolved!! We won't know for a while if he has any vision loss or other problems from it, but from what we can tell right now he doesn't have any long-term vision problems. We have a follow-up in a year, one less specialist to see every 2 weeks which is nice. He's gaining weight like crazy. I don't know what his weight is this week, last Friday he was 8 lb 2 oz and I'm sure he's put onat least half a pound, he's noticably heavier. He's getting fat rolls over his ears and midway up his forearms. His newborn size diapers barely fit anymore, we have only a few left then he's up to size 1. Justin's sister Janna sent us a box with some very cute clothes from her and her fiance Ben, and from a couple of their friends which is very helpful, he'd outgrown his one-piece snap up outfits with legs I was using so he was wearing onesies and getting chilly during night time feedings. If I wrap him in a blanket it's a fight to keep him awake so he needs a decently warm outfit for those ,and now he has several adorable ones. I took him to the doc in one with bears on it that looks like the feet are tiny bear slippers, so cute :) He also has a great stash of warm fuzzy sleepers that should fit around the time the coldest weather is here, thanks guys :) He's been doing great with feedings, started eating more per feed though he's still wanting to eat every 2 1/2 - 3 hours, sometimes going 4 hours. I'm trying out Avent bottles. He's been using Dr. Brown's bottles, but the lactation person suggested I try Avent and he's getting stronger so may be able to work a bit harder for his milk. He's had a couple good nursing sessions, usually I know he gets some milk because he gets it everywhere but I don't feel noticably emptier, but lately there have been a couple times where I feel emptier. Still no idea how much he gets but it's something. The rash on his bottom is almost completely healed, but his umbilical hernia looks pretty bad. He's been having more stretches of time where he's awake and interactive, and spends a couple hours each day awake now when before he'd half wake up to eat then go back to sleep but rarely opened his eyes wide and looked at anything. He's getting less upset about baths and sometimes seems to enjoy himself until the getting out of the bath part when he's cold and unhappy. Not much else going on, that's life in a nutshell.
