July 17

Will is still doing great! He cut his 4th tooth yesterday, now he has both front top and bottom. He's been refusing to eat most of his food the last few days, I'm hoping it's just his teeth bothering him. He's getting about 50:50 breastmilk and formula since my supply is down so much, and I'm now in the process of drying up so increasing how much formula he gets every day to cover the shortage without upsetting his stomach too much. He goes to the doctor tomorrow for a checkup and his 12 month shots.

Will also has some exciting news for everyone - he's going to be a big brother! Hopefully I won't get too sick this time, I'm automatically high risk for hyperemesis and/or another preemie, so I'm not messing around with regular ob-gyns just going straight to a high risk specialist. Probably due the end of March, but it's likely I'll need a repeat c-section since Will was a preemie and emergency c-section which both increase the risk of uterine rupture from attempting labor later. If I do have to have a repeat C it'll be scheduled a few weeks before I'm due. We won't know when that is for sure until my next appointment in a month. I was hoping to attempt a VBAC and skip another c-section, but if I get a 2nd opinion that also thinks it would increase my risk more than an average VBAC then I'll accept another c-section. I have to go back on a low-carb diet to prevent getting gestational diabetes again and I'm supposed to stop trying to keep breastfeeding and let myself dry up, which I'm doing, so my body can conserve nutrition in case I get hyperemesis again. I'm also supposed to try to limit my weight gain to only 15-20 lbs, again to help prevent gestational diabetes and any increased risk to me or baby.

So I have tons to do, spring cleaning the house and preparing low-odor meals to put in the freezer for Justin in case I get sick again and can't do anything for a while. We've saved most of Will's baby stuff so we'll need very little for the new one except basics like diapers, and non-boy clothes if it's a girl. I'm stressing over details and the possibility of complications again. My new doctor better be prepared for extensive harrassment, because after last time I don't intend to let a single thing slip, even if I'm convinced I'm crazy and imagining things I'm getting everything checked out this time.
