July 14

Will didn't get the respirator removed today either. He needed his oxygen increased a bit yesterday so they weren't able to wean him down low enough to switch over to the CPAP today. Doc thinks maybe mid-day tomorrow. He had another echo-cardiogram (heart test) which revealed the PDA is very small so likely won't need any further treatment, or at least the doctor isn't concerned about it right now. He's had unreliable test results on that, it seems to open and close sometimes but a couple nurses have told me they've seen that before and it sometimes happens when it's in the process of closing.

He gained a little weight but I'm not sure how much, the increase box was checked but whoever weighed him didn't translate and fill in the lbs & oz box from the goofy medical junk that makes no sense to me box.

Very tired and kinda depressed tonight, one of the babies in the next room got to go home today and Will's roomate is going to be discharged soon. Makes the contrast sharper just how long he's going to be there. He'll be 2 weeks old tomorrow and I still haven't even been able to hold him. Guess I'm just wearing thin. Nothing else really new to report, again we're considering no news to be good news. Will was wearing a regular premie swaddler diaper today, doesn't it look huge on him?
