We took the kids to the park again Saturday. Very windy but had a great time. Will played with a ball, checked out a ladybug, squashed a caterpillar, ran all over the place and said tree. He loves going to the park! I've started calling Evelyn Lyn instead of Evie, it seems more natural to me. She gave me the first social smile this morning, big goofy toothless grin :D Only for a second and hasn't done it again yet. She's still sometimes rolling over (front to back) and sometimes holding her head up looking around. Having longer spells of being awake, and every night about bedtime she cries off and on a couple hours and nothing seems to make her happy. Still up to eat at least 3 times each night, often more. She's outgrown some of her newborn clothes and is out of newborn diapers, now wearing mostly Carter's newborn clothes or everyone else's 0-3 months, and size 1 diapers. We discovered last night that Will knows what his hands, feet, fingers, toes, ears, nose and hair are and can point them out for you, but he can't say the words yet. So now we're making a point of working on naming them for him more often, and helping him recognize other body parts. he's just started giving real hugs and kisses and he's fickle about it, but sometimes he will when asked. Very sweet!
I'm back on my diet. Modified low fat, low carb. I have a long way to go to get back where I was and start making progress again. Justin is partially doing it too - so please nobody send us cookies or junk food unless it's clearly baby/toddler food for Will, we have no willpower!
